Liquid Facelift

Liquid Facelift

What is Botox®?
The liquid facelift goes beyond creams and lotions with specific injectable products that can be injected into the face and give dramatic improvements just like a facelift.

As we age, the skin and subcutaneous tissues deteriorate and lose volume which leads to fine lines and wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

In addition to loss of subcutaneous fat, the facial muscles atrophy and the bone structure of the face also shrinks, all of which contributes to loss of volume and the changes we see on the surface with age.

Dr. Sally A. Booth offers the Liquid Facelift in her practice at Booth Dermatology and Cosmetic Care Center. She has found this to be a very effective alternative for patients that are not ready for a surgical facelift.

The nip and tuck of a traditional surgical facelift cannot address all of these changes in the skin and subcutaneous structures of the face that occur with age.

Dr. Booth appreciates that you still need to address surface skin deterioration, increase volume and use products to relax some of the wrinkle-causing muscles to fully restore youthfulness to the aging face.

The liquid facelift, with filling products and neurotoxins such as Botox® and Dysport®, can achieve these goals.

The re-volumizing products such as Restylane®, Juvederm®, Sculptra®, Radiesse®, and even a patient’s own fat and platelet rich plasma (PRP) can reverse many of these fat, muscle, and bony structural changes that occur with natural aging and cause skin sagging and wrinkling around the mouth, along the jaw line, and neck area

Botox® and other neurotoxins such as Dysport® and Xeomin® can also be used to erase fine lines and wrinkles mostly in the upper face that occur with muscle movement.

How long does it last?
The corrections through a Liquid facelift last up to 3 years with some of the longer-lasting filling products but 1-2 years depending on the filler injected.

Botox® and the neurotoxins last approximately 3 months but longer in some patients. There are some longer-lasting Botox®-like products that are expected to gain FDA approval in the next year.

During your consultation with Dr. Booth she will review her recommended treatment plan and the anticipated costs for the treatment.
