Financing Options

Cosmetic and Medical Dermatology

Although our providers accept most health insurance plans for medically necessary procedures, most health insurance policies don’t cover rejuvenation and cosmetic procedures because they are considered optional and not medically necessary. At Booth Dermatology & Cosmetic Care Center, we want to offer options. If you don’t have the money to cover your procedure and your insurance company has denied coverage, you still have options for getting the procedure you need. CareCredit® is available to you, which works like a line of credit to cover the cost of your procedure, and you simply pay monthly payments to them until the procedure has been paid off. For cosmetic procedures, this is an excellent option available.

What You Should Know About CareCredit®
CareCredit® is a line of credit, similar to a credit card, which you can use to pay for medical treatments and procedures that are not covered by traditional health insurance policies. It can be used for healthcare expenses, cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures, dental work, and even pet care. Like credit cards, you are approved for the card first and will charge the full amount of the procedure to the card account. Then you pay monthly payments until it has been paid off or when the intended period of time is reached. CareCredit® is owned by GE Capital and used mostly for cosmetic and health services.

There are many providers around the country that take this type of financial option, including cosmetic surgeons, Lasik doctors, dentists, and veterinarians. The most common area of procedures to use CareCredit® for is plastic and cosmetic surgery, which includes laser treatments, dermatology treatments, anti-aging therapy, body sculpting, facial surgery, fillers or Botox®, and hair restoration procedures.

The CareCredit® Process
There are different plans provided by CareCredit®, which are based on the amount of time you have to pay off the charge. This is similar to a car or home loan, where you are given a matter of months to pay your monthly payments until the charge has been paid in full. CareCredit® gives you a credit card for making the purchase, with you paying your monthly balance and any interest requested, instead of having to pay it one large sum. The difference between CareCredit® and a regular credit card is that it can only be used for approved cosmetic, pet, or health services. You can keep using the card for multiple procedures as long as you pay the monthly payments in full and don’t go over your credit limit. Most plans are between 6 and 24 months, with some going up to 60 months. If you pay the charge within the allotted time, there is “no interest” financing available.
